All rituals associated with the festival demonstrate an attempt to bring the God down from His pedestal of glory to a more human level. At Puri, Lord Jagannath with his brother and sister makes a visit at the garden house, Gundecha Ghar, for five days, also visiting his aunt on the way. At the end of the five days, the three siblings are brought back to the Jagannath temple in a Bahuda procession. From Puri, Rath Yatra has spread worldwide, including many large and small cities of United States. The Festival of Chariots signifies Lord Jagannath's journey from the temple into the hearts of people. The Rath Yatra has been celebrated in Tampa annually since 2006. After installation of Lord Jagannath in Sanatan Mandir, it is a signature annual event for the Mandir for all devotees.
